Traditional wide-area mowers limit flexibility in mowing patterns and require more effort to adjust cutting heights. Wet conditions often lead to clumping, requiring double mowing.
Additionally, single-purpose machines have limited year-round value, tying up budget in equipment that sits idle during winter months.
The Trimax Solution
Lakeville provided the Trimax Pegasus with Multi Lift System (MLS) as a replacement for a 16-foot wide-area mower.
With the MLS, operators can mow with one or two decks raised while the remaining decks stay down, allowing greater flexibility in mowing patterns and helping reduce turf wear-ideal for athletic fields.
Operators can control the mower decks via in-cab controls or the Trimax Connect app, while maintenance teams gain access to performance data.
The Pegasus also enabled:
- QuikLIFT to raise decks to protect turf while turning or going over obstacles
- Flexible mowing configurations (single, dual, or full deck use)
- Faster height-of-cut adjustments
- The tractor/mower combo delivers greater versatility, especially when mowing demands are lower in the off-season
