Ryecroft Plant Hire maintains schools, colleges and universities across the north of England. Managing Director Richard Wield explains how an 8-foot Trimax ProCut has helped the business win more work.

Very Little Maintenance

Better Playing Surfaces
Ryecroft Plant Hire has noticed significant improvements in the quality of their grounds since using Trimax mowers. “They do a good cut on the football pitch, and a lot of our customers have said it’s really improved the playability of the surfaces,” says Wield. Beyond sports fields, Trimax Mowers excel on diverse terrains. “They cut long grass. Sometimes we get in there and the grass is actually taller than the mower.” Nonetheless, the Trimax still delivers.
Reliable in All Conditions
Reliability and durability are crucial for Ryecroft Plant Hire’s demanding work environment. Richard says even after mowing over lots of debris, the Trimax mower still goes on to cut football pitches perfectly. “We’ve had no problems with them at all.” It also keeps the team working in the wet. “We wouldn’t cut normally in this weather,” Richard says, but with the Trimax mower, they can.
Overall, Richard says “We have found that with the Trimax machine, it does exactly what we want it to do. It gives a good cut, it’s very easy maintenance, and to be honest we don’t really have any problems with them all.” After years of trialing different machines, Ryecroft Plant Hire remains confident in their choice. “We’ve demoed over the years different manufacturers and machines, and for us, we believe that they’re the best machine.”
