For Shane Crane, co-owner of Kentucky Turf Company, switching to Trimax was about more than just performance. It was about saving time and money. “Time is money and everything especially in farming and business. And when you can cut the time, you can make some money,” he explains. After trying multiple brands, Shane found Trimax to be a clear standout. “We had one, we loved it. Got a second one. You know usually if you get one, you like it. If you get a second one, you really like it.”

Trimax’s wider deck has made a massive difference across large jobs. “We always had 22-foot, these are 24. Two feet don’t seem like a big deal. When you’re going 2, 3, 4, 500 acres, that two feet’s a big deal. It’s a gigantic deal,” Shane says. “Instead of doing eight hours now you got six hours. That other two hours is a big deal.” The Trimax mower also has easier height adjustment, a smart belt system that resists burnout, and foam filled tires to eliminate flats, all providing serious efficiency. The blades and mulching system have also impressed Shane. “The way the blades are, they mulch it a lot better than all of our other brands,” he explains. “We could physically see the difference and our grasses benefited from it.”
Fuel Efficient and Durable
Fuel savings are another major benefit of the Vulcan. “One field that we have is 170 acres… we can all do it in one, maybe one and a half tanks. With the other brands I know it took at least about three.” As for durability, “it’s made to be outside,” says Shane. “Even in winter, the stainless decking, it’s not gonna rust out like all the other brands that we’ve physically had in the past.” Shane says he hasn’t done any major overhauling, which is rare, and a testament to the Vulcans outstanding reliability.
